Life is continually calling to us. Our willingness to respond to the call and expand beyond our comfort zones is a journey all of its own. Beliefs and perception shape our reality and carve out our personality and characteristics. Underneath all of the semantics, words and stories we find our essence. It is that essential self that we return to for nourishment and where we seek refuge when external reality becomes chaotic.
For some the edge brings up fear and anxiety, while others find inspiration and adventure amidst exploring the edge. Whether the edge is as physical and tangible as the edge of a cliff or if the edge is more metaphorical such as the edge of our preference for a certain taste or smell. Life invites us to experience it all.
Our bodies are our story keepers and our navigation system.
Rarely do our bodies experience dis-ease randomly, out of the blue. For the majority of us our emotional or mental bodies start experiencing dis-ease long before materializing in our physical body. Through years... and decades of conditioning to deny our own needs we begin to believe we should “walk it off”, "its not that bad" or we ought to “tough it out”. Whether denial or toxic positivity has you boxed in. We can explore your edges together.
We believe in normalizing our humanity. Re-wilding our domesticated parts and remembering we are part of nature. We don't believe you are “broken”, nor that we can “fix” you. Much like walking into the forest we wouldn't stop and point at a tree and say that one is broken, it must be fixed. We stand in suspended, contemplative thought about what happened to this tree and appreciate its unique twists and turns. We believe the same to be true about human beings. Big deal if we have some battle scars, it means we've survived the war. Now, that we are here. what do we need, not only to survive but to thrive.
